    Picking and Grinning

etavonni1.jpgPart of this new gig I’m at is a side guitar business. Called Etavonni (think Innovate backwards), this company makes a very unique instrument created from a solid billet of aluminum with a carbon fiber shell and tuned tone chambers.

Not only does this allow for a guitar that has the same characteristics as some very expensive vintage counterparts, but the lack of any wood makes it not vulnerable to the bad traits of wood intstruments. You can literally tune this thing and never tune it again. Take outside into the frigid air and back inside. No warping, no cracking, no worries.

On top of all the science (and there is much more that I haven’t even started to talk about), the guitar is a thing of beauty. The finish is mirror like and has the feel of a fine Italian sports car.

So thats my little spiel about it. Do me a favor and at least go check out the website. I think it’s pretty cool and has a little video of me playing guitar.

Guitar playing is my so young habit. I had a fight when I first wanted a guitar frm my parents. They don’t like playing anything. Later I bought my own one and now I have 7 guitars.
